INTERACTION OF IRAN, RUSSIA AND TURKEY IN THE SYRIAN CONFLICT AND PROSPECTS FOR ITS SETTLEMENT

The Syrian conflict is an urgent problem for the modern international community. It is external factors that are of priority when we determine the causes of this regional confrontation. The article analyzes the efforts of international organizations and leading countries of the world and the region in the settlement of the conflict.The Syrian conflict includes civil war, counterac- tion of the terrorist organization «Islamic State» by the leading countries of the world and the region, military and police operations of the West, the Russian Federation and Turkey. The main participants in the conflict are considered by external actors in different ways, the same groups are considered terrorist or leading a national liberation war. National armies are faced in Syria with private military companies, intermediary states are a hybrid war with terrorists and among themselves. The legitimate government of Syria is strongly supported by the Russian Federation and is declared «outlawed» by the United States and its allies. As a methodology for the study of the Syrian conflict, the authors use the theory of conflict transformation, which is popular today among foreign and domestic scientists. In the foreground of the article is the analysis of Russia and its modern allies in the Middle East - Turkey and Iran. Both countries have their own interests in the current situation in the Middle East, however, their positions are largely close to Russian diplomacy on the problem of the Syrian conflict. The scenarios of the situation in the Middle East and the prospects for the settlement of the Syrian conflict are the most important part of the study carried out by the authors.
