French migration and integration policy is developed and well-organized: there are plenty of institutions such as Directorate of Reception, Integration and Citizenship (DAIC), National Agency for Social Cohesion and Equal Opportunities (Acsé), French office of immigration and integration (OFII), etc., that coordinate all the aspects of migration policy and realize variety programs and measures for immigrants’ adaptation to French society. In France favourable conditions for the residence of immigrants, their socialisation, protection of their rights and freedom, access to the labour market have been created, the procedure for obtaining a residence permit and citizenship is facilitated. These actions are described and analysed in the article. As a result, the effectiveness of social support measures for the integration and adaptation of immigrants in France was assessed.
